An interpretation inspired by Django Reinhardt<\/h3>\n

This model draws inspiration from the instruments associated with Django Reinhardt \u2014 not as a replica, but as a considered continuation of their spirit.<\/p>\n

The original Selmer-Maccaferri guitars were designed for projection and articulation, capable of cutting through ensemble playing with clarity and attack. That directness of voice remains central here.<\/p>\n

Rather than reproducing a historical form, this instrument refines it \u2014 preserving its immediacy and percussive response while introducing structural stability and balance suited to modern performance environments.<\/p>\n

The result is a guitar that retains the unmistakable presence of the gypsy jazz tradition, yet feels grounded, controlled, and reliable beyond it.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Materials & Construction<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

The soundboard is crafted from\u00a0Alpine spruce from the Jura region of France<\/strong>, selected for its dynamic headroom and focused projection.<\/p>\n

The back and sides are laminated\u00a0mahogany<\/strong>, sourced from reclaimed furniture. This construction method contributes to structural stability and tonal directness, while giving new purpose to aged material.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0mahogany neck<\/strong>\u00a0provides balance and comfort, paired with a\u00a0cocobolo fingerboard<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0rosewood bridge<\/strong>\u00a0for articulation and durability. Bindings in mahogany and maple frame the instrument with quiet contrast.<\/p>\n

The body is finished in\u00a0traditional French polish<\/strong>, applied by hand in thin layers to preserve resonance and reveal depth in the wood.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
