The Craft
A Dialogue
…between tradition and intention — Each instrument is built through a dialogue between tradition and intention — respecting established principles while questioning anything that does not serve sound, stability, or longevity.
The Soundboard
Cut from carefully selected German spruce, chosen for its clarity, projection, and responsiveness. The back, sides, bridge, and fingerboard are crafted from wenge, an African timber valued for its density, tonal focus, and understated elegance.
Together, these materials create a voice that is articulate, grounded, and unmistakably individual.
Mahogany
…in the neck and neck block provide stability and balance, while a discreet carbon fibre core protects the instrument against humidity changes and supports long-term consistency in sound and structure.
Traditional French Polish
Used for finish and applied by hand in thin layers of shellac. This preserves the natural resonance of the wood while revealing depth, colour, and light.
The neck and fingerboard are treated with oil, resulting in a smooth, natural feel that responds effortlessly to the player’s touch.
Built in limited numbers and without compromise, each instrument is conceived to age gracefully — in sound, structure, and character.

Nicolas builds guitars through a measured dialogue between tradition and intent — grounded in the foundations of classical guitar making, yet refined wherever sound, stability, or longevity call for restraint.
Born in France and trained in the United Kingdom, he studied guitar making and cabinetmaking at Newark College, where construction, restoration, and workshop practice formed a lasting technical backbone. After establishing his own workshop, he built instruments and passed on his knowledge alongside respected luthiers, carrying this experience with him as his work continued across Europe.
Now based in Berlin, Nicolas builds only a limited number of instruments each year. His approach is unhurried and deliberate, favouring clarity over spectacle, balance over excess, and reliability over ornamentation.
Each guitar carries a quiet confidence — shaped by experience, guided by listening, and finished with an uncompromising respect for the craft.
